Plan-Assiste App

Plan-Assiste App is a cross-platform mobile application prototype created as part of the Plan-Assiste digital service ecosystem.
The project translates the main services and interactions of the Plan-Assiste experience into a mobile-first interface designed for quick access on smartphones and tablets, while also supporting a web version.
Rather than reproducing the portal on a smaller screen, the application was designed around shorter mobile journeys, direct access to frequently used services and a navigation structure optimized for touch interaction.
The Challenge
Healthcare-related services often involve recurring tasks such as accessing personal information, consulting service options, checking requests and finding accredited providers.
The challenge was to reorganize these experiences for mobile use, reducing navigation depth and creating an interface that allows users to reach important services quickly and comfortably from smaller screens.
From Portal to Mobile Experience
The Plan-Assiste App extends the same digital ecosystem as the redesigned web portal while adapting its interaction model to mobile devices.
The mobile experience focuses on:
- Faster access to frequently used services
- Shorter and more direct navigation paths
- Touch-friendly controls and interface components
- Clear visual hierarchy for small screens
- Consistent branding across web and mobile experiences
- Reusable patterns designed for cross-platform development
My Role
I worked across the mobile product design and prototyping process, including:
- Mobile information architecture
- UX/UI design
- Navigation structure and user flows
- Adaptation of the Plan-Assiste visual identity for mobile interfaces
- Touch-oriented interface design
- Cross-platform front-end development
- Reusable mobile components
- Local state and simulated service flows
- Web export and deployment for interactive demonstration
User Experience
The application was designed primarily around the beneficiary experience, providing a mobile entry point to services that may need to be accessed frequently or while away from a desktop computer.
The prototype demonstrates how different Plan-Assiste services can be organized into a simpler mobile navigation model, with clear actions, compact information and consistent interface patterns.
The experience includes mobile-oriented service navigation, simulated user interactions and persistent local data where necessary to demonstrate application behavior.
Design Approach
The interface follows the visual language established for the Plan-Assiste digital ecosystem, using green and teal tones, clean typography, cards, icons and reusable navigation patterns.
Components were designed specifically for smaller screens, with attention to touch targets, spacing, hierarchy and readability.
Although the application shares visual and structural principles with the web portal, its interface was designed as a mobile product rather than simply as a responsive version of the website.
Cross-Platform Development
The application was developed with React Native and Expo, allowing the same project structure to support Android, iOS and web environments.
This approach makes it possible to maintain a consistent experience across platforms while reusing components, navigation logic and application services.
Technology
The prototype was developed with:
- React Native
- React
- TypeScript
- Expo
- Expo Router
- React Context
- AsyncStorage
- Lucide React Native
- SVG
- Expo modules
- Vercel
Important: the portfolio version is a functional prototype. Authentication, data and service interactions are simulated where necessary for demonstration purposes. It does not connect to production Plan-Assiste systems, gov.br authentication or the Benner backend.

Part of a Unified Digital Ecosystem
The Plan-Assiste App was conceived as part of the same digital ecosystem as the Plan-Assiste Portal.
While the portal provides a broader institutional and service environment for beneficiaries, accredited providers and internal teams, the application focuses on a more direct and mobile-oriented experience for recurring interactions.
Together, the projects demonstrate how a consistent service experience can be designed across web and mobile platforms while adapting navigation, interface patterns and interaction models to each context.
From UX Concept to Cross-Platform Application
Plan-Assiste App demonstrates my approach to mobile product development: identifying the services that benefit most from mobile access, reorganizing them around shorter user journeys, designing the interface and transforming the resulting experience into a functional cross-platform application.
The project combines UX/UI design, mobile information architecture and React Native development within the broader Plan-Assiste digital service ecosystem.
