Your links on a start page, your way!
I developed Start Studio to organize the sites I use daily into custom start pages. The app brings together link collections, shortcuts, and appearance options in a visual editor, with files that stay on your computer.
You can create pages for different activities, group links by subject and define how each collection is displayed. Colors, logo, background image, fonts, and card layout can all be adjusted to build a browsing space that’s your own.
Available features include:
- Independent pages for work, study, projects, and personal interests.
- Bookmark import from browsers and address lists.
- Symbols, emojis and favicons, with independent choices for collections and links.
- Search and shortcuts to reach the most-used destinations.
- Auto-save and backups, with restore of previous versions.
- Independent HTML files, which can be opened with the app closed.
The interface is available in Brazilian Portuguese, English, Danish, and Italian. The current installer is for Windows x64 and includes the components needed to run the program. The installation starts empty, so each person can create or import their own content.
Once your pages are organized, just set the start.html file as your browser’s home page. The page and its built-in resources work offline; visiting sites and downloading new favicons requires an internet connection.
Start Studio is free and was developed by Juliano Oliveira / DATACG with support from Codex, bringing together interface design, user experience, and software development.
